i am having a problem deleting a quick redirect that was created by an employee. when i go into the redirect Options go to the bottom and click on Delete all Quick Redirects, and nothing happens.

Has anyone run into this, Anyone have any ideas on how to delete this quick redirect it is the only one.

  • We’re running into the same problem. Even when using the delete all quick directs button in settings it doesn’t remove the quick redirects.

I manually deleted from the database, thankfully only needed to do one.

ok, also you can try this. i rolled back to the previous version 5.1.7 (5.1.8 is current version) when i did this interface changed and i was able to delete all quick redirects under redirect options just like we were trying before, i then updated to the current version 5.1.8, went in and deleted the browser cookies and cach files, had to do this before redirect stopped. And this took care of the problem. Also i noticed that when i did this the plugin interface via wordpress changed looked different so i am wondering if something was messed up in there last update when they rolled it out. i of course did all of this on our Dev site first and then tried on our intranet site.

Clater when you say deleted from database, on your host account or inside of wordpress?would just like to have a back up solution if i run into same issue. if you don’t mind listing steps to delete from database.

We have a pretty complex setup so it will most likely be different for you. For me, I logged into our MySQL database and found the redirect in the table wp_{site number}_options and did a delete on the two option ids for the redirect. In your host you may need to do this in something like phpmyadmin to access the database backend.
