    I have an error_log that is almost a Gb. I’ve worked out what’s happening and got that fixed and in the last 2 days, have only had one (valid) error logged. Now I want to clear the log and I can’t find any documentation to say if I can just delete it and a new one will be created by WP when required. Can anyone advise please?

    Hello @jacd

    You can safely remove the error_log file. Once a new error will be generated by your site, a new error_log file will be created.

    Many thanks chemicloud, especially as I maintain this website as a volunteer for a youth organisation. It seemed such as simple step after the hard work of sorting the issue out! I’ll do that and tick it off my list.

    You might also look inside error_log to see why it’s growing and try to fix the cause of the errors.
