Hi
I’m trying to setup the Mail plugin and get the failure 5.7.708 on nearly every mail send from WP I’m in contact with the MS support but they are unable to help me the last couple of days.
We switched to MS 365 Business last week the licence is paid as recommended by this document.
And right now I’m curious if it is a WP problem. Or if it is on their side.

I’ve found the following definition of the error from this Microsoft web page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow-best-practices/non-delivery-reports-in-exchange-online/fix-error-code-5-7-700-through-5-7-750

“5.7.708 Access denied, traffic not accepted from this IP: This error occurs when sending email from known, low reputation IP addresses that are typically used by new customers.”

In other words, the IP address of your website/WordPress install has been blacklisted (probably due to spam). I would imagine you are using a shared hosting platform for this to have happened, or it could be that there is a malicious bot installed on the server that is sending spam mail (it doesn’t have to be using your Microsoft account to send the mail).

I have the same problem.

Remote Server returned ‘550 5.7.708 Service unavailable. Access denied, traffic not accepted from this IP. For more information please go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=526653 AS(7230) [YT4PR01MB9589.CANPRD01.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM]’

Did you ever found a way to whitelist your server?
I tough that using OAuth would avoid such validation.
