    If you have not warnings about the cron system, it’s ok. You mailing system is incredibly slow (5 seconds per email is really really slow). Ask the provider for more details and consider to use and external delivery system, or ask the provider a more performant SMTP.

    WordPress scheduler auto trigger MAYBE The constant DISABLE_WP_CRON is set to true (probably in wp-config.php). That disables the scheduler auto triggering and it’s good ONLY if you setup an external trigger.

    But i use my contab

    */5 * * * * (cd /home/www.planete.qc.ca/htdocs; /usr/local/bin/php ./wp-cron.php)

    Is not a cron problem, is a mailing system problem. Maybe your mailing system has not a queue, I don’t know. Or other than missing a queue, you’re on a very slow connection with your blog.
