As of WordPress 6.9.0 IE Conditionals are no longer supported.

In functions.php:440 and :444 wp_style_add_data with the $key conditional will throw at deprecated warning. See https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/commit/49d1dedd7b7efbe6f783931ebbf84e7931afb937

An update for the theme was provided by the team a few minutes ago (this always happens in the days following such a major release – so don’t rush into anything 🙂 ). Since then, I haven’t seen this deprecated message in the log file anymore.
