    Hello Hendra Setiawan

PHP Deprecated: version_compare(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($version1) of type string is deprecated in /home/u730660366/domains/maxidesignstudio.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/spotlight-social-photo-feeds/includes/init.php on line 153

I first reported this 1 year ago and you answered: “I’ve passed this issue to our development team for review.” When I asked a month later you answered: Our development team is actively working on resolving the deprecated PHP warning, and we will include a fix in the next version of Spotlight.

I have written several times and subsequently had similar answers each time I have written. The plugin was updated 2 months ago without fixing the problem. If I update myself, then it would be lost with your next update. What is the problem? Each time you have marked the issue as Resolved when it was not resolved. Perhaps your development team read this and close the ticket!

    Hi @malae

Thank you for your patience, and I appreciate you following up on this.

I have double-checked this internally with our development team, and I can confirm that the fix for this deprecated PHP notice has not been officially included in a release yet. That said, this issue is already on our development roadmap, and the fix will be included in an upcoming Spotlight update.

We will keep this thread updated once the fix is released, so you will be informed as soon as it becomes available.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and for your continued patience.

    Hi @malae

Just a quick follow up on this.

We have just released Spotlight version 1.7.5, which includes modernized internal function signatures to improve compatibility with PHP 8.3.

Could you please update the plugin to version 1.7.5 and let us know if the PHP deprecated notice you previously reported is still appearing on your site?

Once you’ve had a chance to test it, please let us know the result and we’ll be happy to take it from there if anything further needs to be checked.

Thank you again for your patience and for bringing this to our attention.
