I have the same problem too even when adding lots of content to the description field I still get the error described above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m also having the same issue. I’m able to create a job in the admin dashboard with a description that shows on the site, but a logged in user cannot update/edit the description.
I am having the same problem. No matter how much, or little text I put in it always says “Description is a required field”
This was working perfectly fine before 4.3.
What can be done?

Hey mike, I’m getting this exact problem running Version 1.23.9 is there anything i can do to correct this? i’m added plenty of information to the Description field, then i click preview and get the “Description is a required field” and everything in the textbox has been deleted.
For the last month or so I have had a similar glitch to this. When my wholesalers sign in and want to place an order – ‘state is a required field’ comes up. When I go via my online shop and try to place an order I get ‘description is a required field.’ Although all the required fields are filled in, this comes up and does not let anyone proceed with their order.

I’m having the same problem, eventhough the decription has been filled with writing, it throws an error saying that it has to be populated. If i write in the box again, then it works on 2nd submit.
