Hello @eventide0,
Thanks for using Yoast SEO. Please provide us with screenshots that highlight the issue you are experiencing. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.
Hi @maybellyne
Attached are some screenshots. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12TiwV960DdaTsuRhpit357R4m9YGhIfc?usp=sharing
In the meantime, it seems like there is a conflict with Gutenburg. Not sure what to do.
Your screenshots don’t communicate much. Are you able to access the Yoast SEO meta box, usually below the default WordPress content editor? This is why you add a focus keyphrase, synonyms, an SEO title, a meta description, etc.
If you have the Gutenberg plugin active on your site, we are aware of an issue where, when the latest version of the Gutenberg plugin is active, the SEO and Readability analysis fails to load. If so, you can disable the Gutenberg plugin. If you use the default WordPress content editor, you already use Gutenberg; the standalone plugin is not needed. However, if you usually test edge cases and experimental features still in active development, the standalone plugin will be useful. You can find more information about the plugin here.
@maybellyne
I turned off the Gutenberg plugin and I am able to see the SEO and Readability analysis, but turning it off causes problems with other plugins. I am a basic user and not doing anything experimental.
The recent version of Gutenberg is restricting the loading of our analysis which causes the SEO and Readability analysis to be showing as spinning or broken. If you prefer to use the Gutenberg plugin along with Yoast SEO plugin, then you need to downgrade the Gutenberg to a previous version. We have communicated this to the Gutenberg development team to get this fixed.
