    Hi,

Thank you for this plugin! I just wanted to share my experience, in case it helps improve this plugin.

I had installed zen cache on one of my websites, but it did not work at all. So I removed it, and tried quick cache, this did work.
Then I tried installing quick cache on another one of my websites, but then quick cache did not work… so I tried removing it and installing zen cache – which then did work.
I then went back to my first site, removed quick cache and installed zen cache – which now works as well.

I’m not sure what’s going on, I just thought it might be interesting to share this experience with others 🙂
I exclusively use HTTPS, other then that I can’t think of anything special about my websites.

  • I just started using ZenCache on a few site which had been running WP Super Cache. ZenCache did NOT work upon initial installation. No cached files. Settings were standard and enable.

To rectify the problem, I simply disabled ZenCache from the control panel. Then enabled it again. And it worked. Odd, but it worked. The same thing played out on six sites spanning two different servers.

@rostam24 The latest version of ZenCache (v150409–released today) includes a bug fix related to migrating from Quick Cache. 🙂 This latest version should resolve the issue you were having.

@mcstar I just attempted to reproduce the issue you described using the latest version of ZenCache (v150409–released today) and I was not able to reproduce it. I tried installing WP Super Cache and activated + enabled it, then deactivated WP Super Cache and installed + activated + enabled ZenCache. Once I enabled ZenCache, I was able to confirm that ZenCache was running and working properly (see How do I know if ZenCache is working?).

If you still have issues with the latest version of ZenCache (v150409), please let me know and I will do some further testing.

Maybe there was something leftover from WP Super Cache. Regardless, ZenCache seems to work well once it begins to work. It’s very good at flushing cache when a post is updated or published. Better than WP Super Cache in that regard (at least, when running Nginx in front of Apache).

Since there doesn’t seem to be any mucking around in .htaccess, I wonder exactly how a browser request gets routed to a static page?
