I don’t think I had seen “force replace” until a couple of updates back. What is the difference?

“Forced replace” is a new option that makes it possible to replace a host sidebar with a single sidebar instead of letting sidebars merge. Read more about it in the FAQ here: http://www.intox.dk/en/plugin/content-aware-sidebars-en/faq/

Ah, I see, thank you. I did come across an instance before where two sidebars were replacing the host sidebars and both were displayed.
