Difference between permalink and permaurl?

    Hi there. In the page where you set up the template for creating Subscribe2 emails, there are two shortcode options:

    {PERMALINK}
    {PERMAURL}

    The description on that page is a bit confusing to me — apparently the permaurl is the “unformatted” version of the permalink?

    Can anyone explain what is meant by “unformatted” here?
