Hello, recently this plugin started showing wrong information between the real statistics and the statistics from the plugin. It shows articles that I’m sure can’t be the most read, because they are quite old and are missing in StatsCounter when I compare.

    Hi @nescafe89,

There’s a good read about this particular issue here: Popular Posts View Count Different than Jetpack? (While the title of that topic says “Jetpack” the same idea applies to all other statistics tool as well.)

Thanks for the quick response, but until a few days ago, at least in my opinion, everything was fine and the statistics were relatively the same. I currently have 2-3 articles that are in the top 5, and they have not been accessed at all in the last 24 hours according to Google Search Console and StatCounter. I may have noticed this behavior after the last restart of the VPS.

Well, the plugin hasn’t been updated in around two months (at the time of writing) so if you’re seeing some recent inconsistencies with your statistics then something on your end changed (you mentioned that it may be related to you restarting the VPS for example). Have a look at your site and check that nothing is preventing WordPress Popular Posts from tracking visits.

    For example:

Ok thanks, will write when found if its real issue or i imagining it 🙂
There are VPS packages updated, also WP plugins updates, it will be difficult to resolve it.
