Difference between this plugin and using script directly on head

Hi, I would like to understand what I might be losing or getting using this plugin instead of just adding the tracking code into my store.

Implementation easiness is not in my concern list, I want to understand if this plugin gives me something extra or is the same as injecting the code into the head of my store.
