Difference Installed on main domain vs as network plugin ?

    I don’t quite understand the difference. Explain what a subdirectory site it any how it is not a part of a network.

    I can activate the plugin in the network on on the subdomains individually, I wonder if the plugin will retain the full capacities if I choose the 2nd option ? thank you

    BCing won’t work, you won’t see where posts are linked (to), permalink overriding won’t work, stuff like that.

    ok then thank you. I suppose there is no way to exclude some of the subdomains

    You’ll have to go the difficult route: enable BC only on those subdomains you want it working.
