I’m still in the investigative process of finding an LMS for a client. I need to know if there is any way to restrict course content by user role. To explain – Client needs an entry quiz (like a personality test and I don’t necessarily need your plugin to do this) which the results will link to a custom registration page by user role. There will be say, three roles. Pink, Blue and Green. All Pink users can only get access to the Pink courses, blue users get blue courses and so on. In addition, will need to drip feed courses to students at certain timeframes.

I am not seeing any way in your documentation to do this. In addition, your help files seem to indicate that your membership plugin does not yet integrate with coursepress. If there is a way to finagle it together or if you know of another method, I would really prefer to use your plugin. Please let me know.

    Best wishes,
    VD

  • Hi @vd11,

Hope you’re doing great today! 🙂

CoursePress doesn’t currently have user role integration like that built in but it’s possible to use it with Membership to that effect.

There’s a bit of helpful discussion on that here:
    http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/how-does-coursepress-pro-works-with-membership-plugin

Basically, you can create subscriptions in Membership and provide access to particular courses by way of URL Group rules using those subscriptions and related access levels.

User role integration can be done through those access levels, you can have the plugin automatically add a user role to a member after subscription. If you need help with that aspect of it, you can simply post to the Membership forums here: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/membership

    How does that sound?

    Cheers,
    David
