Ok, so you know this how-to guide?

    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

I want my new wordpress blog to be displayed on my main page, which is just celebrana.com/phoenixtearz – currently it is in its own folder, celebrana.com/phoenixtearz/wp/ . BUT, reading that guide, they say you have to upload the index.php and .htaccess file to your root directory- but the problem is I can’t find my htaccess file anywhere in my wordpress files.

    Anyone have suggestions/help? Thank you.

If you figure it out, let me know! xD Good luck with it- if it’s any consolation, your blog looks really nice. 😀

you need to create your own .htaccess file in the root directory.

    Oh…
Why didn’t the guide say that? o_o
The problem is…I have no clue how to create one.

you can create one locally and upload it to your hosting account. needs to be named .htaccess. note the leading period.

    Well, that, yes…
but what do I put in it? O.O I’m sorry if I sound like a complete newbie! I am, technically, to wordpress; I just downloaded it and installed it yesterday.

depends on your permalink structure. generally you paste into .htaccess whatever is outputted in the bottom text box when you hit ‘update permalink structure’ at options > permalinks.

Well…my permalink structure is set to default…so I don’t know if that’s what I need to use or not.

then you don’t need an .htaccess file.

    Oh…XD Alright.
    I thought I did though, because…
When I didn’t have one though, and uploaded the index.php file to my root directory and was met with a blank white page as my homepage. So…something else must be going wrong. =x

did you edit the location of wp-blog-header.php?

    (@skippysandy)

    Yes.
I just tried it again…and now it’s working. I know I did edit the wp-blog-header.php location before…so I must’ve been doing something else wrong. o.O
I want to thank you VERY much for your help. 🙂 I know it can be frustrating to help people sometimes when it just is kind of going over their head a little, so thanks for taking the time. 🙂 I’m pretty sure it’s all working now.
