    Hello,

Is it possible to have a layout style for certain pages and a different one for others? I use BuddyPress and a boxed or separate layout is necessary for the BuddyPress pages. Also I have set a background image in General Styling.

The problem is with the homepage, where I don’t want the separate layout. But even when I set the content layout to 100% full width in the page settings, still Elementor creates a white box behind all images, buttons etc. Only by setting the layout style as wide solves the problem, but this is unsuitable for the BuddyPress pages.

The only solution I can see is to have wide layout for the homepage only, and separate layout for the other pages. Would this be possible someway?

    Thanks in advance
    Harry

Hello, you want the Wide layout only for your homepage? All the other page would have the Boxed layout?
If yes, select the Boxed layout and send me your homepage url.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delayed answer, I’m swamped and I missed the email so I just saw your answer. That is correct. Just to be exact, I want the Wide layout for the homepage and for the footer menu pages (terms, support etc), and the Boxed layout for all the other pages (BuddyPress pages).

For now I’ve solved the problem, because I reverted to multisite, but I’m facing several other issues and conflicts. So I might have to abandon multisite eventually. If that happens, can the different layout per page be accomplished?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi, I never recommend to create a multisite, yes, we can find how to do per page.

I know you didn’t. I was desperate and decided to try multisite before you told me that it can be done per page. It was a mistake after all and I uninstalled multisite.
Now I have selected separate layout as you told me. Is it OK to send you the homepage url via email, because I’m not allowed to post it here and I don’t see an option to send it privately? If yes, should I send it to https://oceanwp.org/support/?

Hi, you can directly open a pre-purchase ticket then.

Hi, thanks for replying so fast.
    I’ll do it right away.

Eventually I managed to resolve this and it was pretty simple. It’s not a theme issue, it’s just a setting in Elementor. In the Page Attributes dropdown, changing the template from Default to Elementor Full Width does the trick, as this overrides the boxed/separate layout and creates a full width page to work with. I’m marking this as resolved.

    Thanks for all your help.
