Different Marker for Each Category

Hi Guys,

I have a travel website that has categories such as Hotels, Attractions, Tours etc.
I would like to have different marker appear for each of them.

At the moment I can set a different color in the settings however I would like to replace the default image with an icon of a hotel etc using fontawesome or similar images.

So when the user sees a mashup they can see the hotel icon, attraction icon.
I’ve read heaps of different similar threads but cannot seem to find the answer.

Ive also tried replacing mm_36_aqua.png in the image directory with my icon, this seemed to sort of work. Any ideas?
