Thanks for getting in touch @boinich. Hopefully we can address any concerns or queries you may have.
The plugin makes the correct connection, but then shows two different measurement identifiers, one on the web and one in our google panel.
I suspect you may be referring to the Google tag (with a GT prefix) and then your Google Analyytics measurement 4 ID (with a G- prefix). This is normal, as Site Kit uses the Google tag to place a measurement ID on a users site. You’ll find more on this here, and an example of how a Site Kit Analytics placement appears here.
Being two identifiers, the analytics system does not work.
When you say it’s not working, can you let me know what is not working? You can ensure a tag is firing using the tagassistant.google.com service. I’m also happy to check all is working as expected if you wish to share what is not working while also sharing your Site Health information so I can check your setup.
The error that indicates us is “for lack of sufficient permissions” but this does not make sense, because we are correctly connected and with a google administration account, in addition professional.
One we have your Site Health information I can check your current connected Analytics snippet. It’s possible that if your facing some Analytics permissions errors, that another user changed the connected Analytics property at some stage, the Google account you have connected to Site Kit changed, or something changed at Analytics level. If you wish to include the permissions error you’re facing when sharing your Site Health information, we can investigate this further.
hello james.
first of all, thank you very much for your interest and help.
following your indications, we think we have found something, although we don’t know if it is really the problem.
I attach a history
1.- as you indicate the measurement tags that google indicates are not the same, but as you say, this should not be the problem – photo :
https://ibb.co/qWd3vX1
tag on the web. where you can see the problem that gives the issue of permissions. another image capture, of the plugin with the error. sorry, it’s in spanish
hhttps://ibb.co/r4N0L15
2.- this photo is the domain and the label that google generates.
https://ibb.co/tMq95JS
3.- in this image you can see the code that we added by hand because it was the only way forward
https://ibb.co/Pt9YStp
code in the web G-*******2B9
code in google : G-*******QRD
4.- we have gone to the google analytics panel and we have checked that we are working as administration. everything ok there.
5.- using the link you have provided we have discovered that there is a previous UA tag. we thought it was all deleted. and in google analytics there is nothing referred to UA.
because before installing the plugin we deleted everything in the panel that referred to UA.but it seems that there is something left
https://ibb.co/ZHM231g
Could this be part of the problem ? that this UA tag, corresponds to another analytics account and is now getting mixed up ?
thanks for your help.
Many thanks for the detailed overview. Very useful indeed.
Firstly, the UA tag does not impact any GA4 reporting, so there are no issues there.
Regarding the permissions notice, this is normal if another administrator for your site connected Google Analytics (with a GA4 property that you don’t have access to – G-*******2B9), if the property was changed from analytics.google.com, or if the Google account you have connected to Site Kit was changed. To ensure you are tracking with the correct property, can you confirm that the G-*******2B9 property is the only one you wish to track? If so, you can disconnect the Google Analytics module within Site Kit (Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit > Disconnect Analytics from Site Kit), and connect once more, using that G-*******2B9 GA4 property.
Once you have that property connected, I’m happy to check your site once more to confirm all is connected and tracking as expected.
Note also that regarding the drop in traffic, we can review this after you connect Google Analytics with your preferred property.
ok
solved with this form
we had an extra javascript code that we added by hand, and the system told us that we had a duplicate label. we have deleted it and everything is fine the first time.
thank you very much, really. very much appreciated.

Not a problem, happy to assist. And great find regarding a manually inserted Analytics code, glad you were able to locate and remove it. If you run into any further errors or if you have any Site Kit related queries, be sure to get in touch.
If you have a moment free please also consider leaving a review, in particular as you use Site Kit on several sites. We’d love to hear your feedback.
