    Hi,

i have an issue where Google shows me two different Meta Descriptions for my site. If I type in: site:myURL in Google, it shows me the right Meta Description. See here:

Anyway, if I am Googling the Site only, it shows me this meta description:

What is wrong there? I have this issue frequently where my page shows the wrong metas even if set up correctly in Yoast.

    Looking forward to your help

    Hello @trixox

Thanks for reaching out regarding your meta descriptions. In the page source, I see:

<meta name=”description” content=”Herzlich Willkommen in der Welt der kanadischen Blockhäuser! Western Red Cedar✓ über 100 Projekte ✓ Original Naturstammhäuser aus Kanada.” />

I believe this matches what you entered in the Yoast SEO plugin. And that means our plugin is working as expected. A proper way to search for a specific site is to put “site:” in front of a site or domain. For example, site:youtube.com or site:.gov. And when I performed a site search, I see the correct description. See screenshot.

Have you added your site to Google Search Console? Then you could request indexing so Google can update their index again.
