Different userlogin?

I don’t want to send my users to their profile settings-page everytime they login, I want them to return to the page the where at that demanded the login.

So that if you login to comment on a post, you go to that post again, able to post.

Strange that it isn’t like this already (with a selective place on the page with a “edit profile” link somewhere on the page!)
