Hi, could you please somehow differentiate in sending your “Problems found” emails between serious issues and just ordinary situations like the need to update non-security updates on plugins.

I would really prefer to keep my severity level to medium not high, but the consequence is getting flooded with “Problems found” emails, while they only contain suggestions to update plugins without being security issues.

Thanks a lot. Appreciate your plugin!

    Hi @tezalsec,

Thank you for your suggestion! We’re always happy to look into the feasibility of changing or adding features based on customer feedback, so I’ve linked this topic to the team for further discussion internally. Unfortunately, I can’t provide progress reports or potential release schedules here on the forums.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

Exactly the same issue. Multiple sites and receive so many emails from Wordfence repeatedly informing that there are “critical” issues with the sites. In turns out that each time, it’s just a plugin that needs updating. Even when setting the email setting to “critical” you still receive email alerts for plugins that are not updated. Note this is NOT a critical or even high issue. Sometimes plugins are maintained at a version on purpose. Please, please, please sort this out ASAP.

    Hi @rthi,

Thanks for your feedback! General plugin updates are medium-severity alerts; however, when a plugin has a known vulnerability, the alert is changed to Critical, as it’s important to update vulnerable plugins and themes as soon as possible.

You can review the severity level for each type of scan result here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/dashboard/alerts/

    Thanks,
    Margaret
