Differnent counters

    I have been using the wp-statistics plugin for a long time. I also use the post-views-counter plugin. Wp-Statistics often provides up to twice as many hits as post-views-counters.
    Why is that? Do wp-statistics also count bots? If so, how can I prevent this?
