Diplaying recent posts on different html page?

Hey,

So basically what i have been doing is using WordPress as my main page on my website. It was great when i only had a few people posting. But now i have more people posting on the site, so some posts are quickly being pushed off the main page. What I want to do now is make a homepage that displays all of the recent posts in each category. An example is: under Movies there will be the last 10 posts that have been added. Just there headlines. So my question is now can this be done? Can i link a separate html page with the top headlines from my wordpress blog?
