I continue to have troubles with the Google Docs viewer. I’d like to be able to link directly to documents stored in …/wp-content/uploads/mdocs/… but I am getting a permission denied error. I assume it is a setting somewhere in Memphis Docs. Could you tell me where it is so that I can turn it off?

    Thank you!

Nevermind I found the .htaccess file.

Okay I found the .htaccess file and deleted it but it keeps coming back. How do I stop that?

You don’t need to delete the file, just goto the dashboard mDocs Options > Settings > .htaccess File Editor and remove all the content.

That will make the mdocs file directory open to all.

Okay I tried that but I am still getting permission errors. I tried deleting everything and also “allow from all” neither worked. Could you tell me how to prevent the .htaccess file from returning after I delete it? Thanks!

I finally got it to work…

If anyone else wants to do this the .htaccess file contents that worked for me are:

    Satisfy Any
    Allow from all
