Disable a custom field

    Hi guys

    We have a custom field called Thumbnail and are just changing theme – our new theme is incorrectly displaying this thumbnail. Does anyone know how we code the following, and where, please:-

    IF the post ID number is greater than 22486, show the thumbnail if not, don’t.

    Be really greatful for the code and where to post it

    It really depends upon how your current theme is using this custom field.

    the current theme is Puretype and is using it to display the old thumbnails actually within posts whereas the previous theme was revolution magazine which only used the thumbnails to display on the homepage.

    we just want to shut off the display of any custom field thumbnail prior to post id 22486 – is that possible?

    There are literally thousands of WordPress themes – which means that many people won’t be familiar with your particular theme. Unless you can isolate the code that uses the custom field and post that code snippet here, it’s unlikely that anyone will be able to provide you with specific details.
