When we check “Disable admin authorization”, it’s still requiring us to login.

We have version 2.2.9 on the LIVE site (I know there is a 2.3.0, but it doesn’t mention any fix for this).

We can give you access to the live & staging site.

    Thanks.

Not sure why this didn’t work before, but going to the WP Staging settings on the staging site and checking “Disable admin authorization”, then flushing the WP Rocket cache worked on the site we encountered this on. It appears the “Disable admin authorization” setting on the live site doesn’t have any affect on the staging sites?

That’s correct, but this is already mentioned in the description of that setting:

This does not affect previously created staging sites and you need to create a new staging site if you want to change the authentication of it.

Disable first the authentication, then create a new staging site and its done.
Alternatively you can disable wp staging on the staging site by renaming the plugin folder via FTP.

    Cheers
