Been running WP for about 6 years.

A few days ago one of my plugins was updated to a new version and it promptly stopped working. I can go back the the previous version and all is good.

But, WP keeps doing a plugin update and reinstalls the new version. When I look at the Plugin list they all are annotated: Enable Auto-Updates which tells me they should not auto update.

I have WordPress configured to only do Maintenance and Security Updates.

    Installed are:
    ManageWP Worker paid version
    Solid Security (IThemes) free version
    WordFence Security free version

I can’t find any config settings that would prevent this errant plugin from updating. I’m waiting for the vendor to respond.

Any ideas on how to stop this auto plugin updating?

    Thanks,

Critical security updates from plugins are also installed bypassing these settings. At least if it’s a plugin from the WordPress repository that could be a reason. If it’s a plugin that isn’t in the repository, there are probably other ways. You would have to wait for the developer’s response on this.

    Thanks for the reply.

Was just speaking with a friend, he’s not a WP developer, but he said the same thing. If I could, I’d even rebuild the failing page using the new version, but the Webhook (PayPal) is broken and I can’t reset and reconnect through the apps Dashboard.
