Disable Auto Entry Read on View

Is it possible to disable the automatic setting of “Read” when opening an entry?
With the code from the docs, the content of the entries is no longer displayed (https://fluentforms.com/docs/fluentform_auto_read/).
Alternatively, it would also help if the entry type is not set to “Read” when viewing an entry, but to a different one (https://fluentforms.com/docs/fluentform_entry_statuses/).
But no matter what I do either the entry is no longer displayed with content or “Unread” always becomes “Read” when opening.
