Disable Code Execution in Multisite

I am using Wordfence on a Multisite network. With the “disable code execution for uploads folder” activated, I can see the .htaccess file in the uploads directory for the main site however it doesn’t appear that this protection is also extended to the blogs.dir folder where Multisite subsite uploads live. Is this the correct functionality of this feature for Multisite?
