What kind of ‘notifications’ are those? Can you copy the message, or send a screenshot?
Notifications that a new comment has been added and to do the actions (approve, delete,…)

In the next release, commenting via XML-RPC and REST-API will be blocked when Disable Comments is enabled. Those seem to be entry points for spammers to add comments even when the comment form has been disabled.
