Disable Jetpack/WordPress emails after installing MailChimp???

I just set up Mailchimp and will be using this moving forward to send out a daily post from RSS to all subscribers at the same time each day. I now have the MailChimp widget on my side bar and removed the jetpack one so new subscribers will do so with mail chimp. Question is how do I make sure blog followers won’t also get the automatic emails that wordpress previously sent via Jetpack I believe? I see subscriptions in Jetpack section. Can I just disable this? If so how? I don’t see a disable button or option. Second question if I disable this it will also disable people’s ability to subscribe to comments (this option is in the jetpack subscription module). Is there a way to use mailchimp to do the same thing? To have an option for readers to subscribe to get comment updates? Thank you all!
