• I like the reading time widget being added to all our content automatically but would like it disabled on this particular page.

I’ve tried using the CSS suggested in another thread, but it didn’t seem to work.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi there,

It looks like your theme is outputting that without any of the HTML wrapping the reading time so you won’t be able to target it with CSS.

In your Settings > Reading Time WP in the WordPress admin do you have “Insert Reading Time before excerpt” unchecked?

If you do, it’s probably tied to how your theme generates those snippets. It may be pulling from the_content.

Is this a premium theme you use? If it’s free can you let me know which theme it is and where to get it so I can take a look?

It’s checked in our settings – should it be unchecked?

It is a premium theme we got from ThemeForest

    Thanks for our reply.

Go ahead and try unchecking it. Then if those short post previews are using the WordPress excerpt the reading time should be removed from there but still display on the full post.
