Disable podast updates

    Apart from putting in a very high number into the interval box, what is the correct way to disable updates, my feed will no longer have new podcasts added. I tried putting in 0 but it still updates.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using the podcast player on your website.

    Presently, putting a very high number is the only way to delay the update for the podcast. Is there any specific reason this method is not suitable? If there are any issues, I can add an option (However, If not required, I don’t want to add too many options to complicate the settings page).

    Please provide your valuable inputs on this.

    Logically thinking, specifying 0 should disable the updates. As my podcasts will no longer be added to it seems an unnecessary use of resources to have to plugin check them. However I can live with it.

    I initially thought of having this (specifying 0 should disable the updates). However, someone might want to put 0 to disable the caching and always fetch the latest data. This might confuse them and they will complain that the feed is not updating at all 🙂
