Disable user registration

    Hello,

    Kind of unhappy with the latest update… I’m operating a website in Europe and we have pretty strong laws on users privacy, in the latest version it seems like users have to create an account to be able to order, which means I have to set a whole bunch of things to be GDPR-compliant (privacy policy, specific data protection, security, etc).

    I also simply don’t want the user to make an account, it’s more things to translate, maintain, and an additional security hazard, what ever happened to simply allowing user checkout without account creation?

    On top of that: many of our customers simply don’t want to go through the hassle of creating an account, we’re a very small business and it’s one more thing that blocks the user flow. Please, provide an option to disable user registration.

    I fully agree with him, to make optional whether to register an account or not, as it was before

    Can I somehow downgrade to previous version?

    Yes you could do it, but I don’t recommend it, there are some bugs in the previous version, annoying for the customer.

    @djtribunus oh, I found about it the hard way. Do you believe that they will soon update it so registration is not needed? I am running a website where the benefit is that registration is not required.

    I understand you, I also have the same problem, but to date the developers have always been available and kind, I don’t think they will betray us right now: Or a few days and they will solve

    Completely agree. With European data laws, and for user simplicity at checkout I need the option to just use guest checkout as in the previous version.

    Have set up one site with this plugin so far and had intended to use it on a number of other projects but this last update has caused various issues so really need these to be fixed otherwise I’m stuck with an old version of the plugin.
