• Hi,

each event has in the resulting html a itemtype="http://schema.org/Event" attribute. Because the location field is missing, the Google crawler detects this as an issue and displays it as an invalid element. I have a list of events on every page in the sidebar.

How to disable the attribute so that Google no longer detects it? I am not interested in Google indexing the calendar events.

    Hi there,

About your query here, do you mind sharing with us the exact error that you are receiving in Google Console? By default, there isn’t a built-in option to disable this property in the plugin. I wouldn’t also recommend removing Location even manually as this would result to a critical error in your Google Console since this is a key Property of the Event Schema.

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind Regards

Hi, sorry for the late response.

The critical problem that makes the page invalid is

    Field “location” missing

    https://search.google.com/search-console/r/events/drilldown?resource_id=sc-domain%3Afeuerwehr-othfresen.de&item_key=CgwICRoIbG9jYXRpb24QAxgB&sharing_key=AMFaNbXjEO_PPs0ziKCnew

There are also some other non-critical problems because the fields

    • offers
    • image
    • eventStatus
    • description
    • performer
    • organizer
    • endDate

    are also missing.

    Hi there,

Thanks for staying in touch with us.

In this case, please update your Simple Calendar plugin to the latest version. In addition, please ensure that you add location values to your Events in Google Calendar as well as the rest of the fields.

    I hope this information helps.

    Kind Regards
