disable state from shortcode.php

Hi

Is it possible to make a filter in themes function.php or something that disable state in shortcodes.

If i put [listings] in a page i get title, adress, city and state. But i want to disable state.

I can remove state from shortcodes.php but then it is reset when i update the plugin to new version.
