I have read and tried all posts not involving touching the PHP code.
No way to disable the comments from the main page.
I have disabled comments everywhere in the settings and the pages.
But my main page, a static page I wrote, still has this stupid “leave your comments”.
Is it possible that such a nice and complete product cannot make a simple thing like this withtout touching the code?
Wooow! It’s doable. Brain dead, but still doable.
I copied my static page to another page.
I set the new one as the default first page.
I deleted the old one.
No “leave a comment” appeared any more.
This is a workaround, not a real solution.
The real solution would be when I say “disable all comments” and it applies everywhere.
