Disable WordPress emails for new posts!

Hi

I have searched the forums and cannot find a solution for this.

I have 7 subscribers who subscribed via the old WordPress subscription ability (Jetpack) before I then changed to a plugin (Sendpress) which lets me send custom emails and manage subscribers sooo much better.

Unfortunately whenever I write a new post, those 7 subscribers still get the ugly wordpress email whilst at the same time I send the Sendpress email. Therein lies the problem: I cannot delete subscribers from the WordPress list (a big issue for me) so I just want to disable to automatic email that WordPress sends when I write a new post.
