Hi there,
Starting version 3.0.0, WPP will make use of AJAX to update the views count to keep spiders / bots from inflating the views count since most of them are unable to execute Javascript. So, it can’t be turned off.
If you’re trying to lower the impact on the database server, try enabling WPP’s cache instead (see wp-admin > Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Tools > Listing refresh interval).
i dont have that plugin installed but the same code appears on my website. and is breaking the html avoiding to create my rss. any idea?
Hi @incacolor!
While I don’t think your issue is related to this plugin as you said yourself that you don’t use it on your blog, please share your site’s URL so I can take a look.
http://www.copasmenstrualescolombia.com look a friend found this http://screencast.com/t/hNSczl3HftBO but i don´t know which plug in is creating this. in fact my feeds are gone http://www.copasmenstrualescolombia.com/feed/
you will earn a big piece of paradise if you help 🙂
That code is being generated by the WP-SpamFree Anti-Spam plugin. You should head to their support forum and report the problem so they can help you fix it (although they don’t seem to be very active there). Alternatively, you may just want to switch to a different antispam plugin (eg. Akismet).
A suggesstion, if I may, next time you report a problem with a plugin try to be as detailed as possible (just like you did on your last reply). Include as much information as you can to help developers help you.
mmmm is weird. cause i use it in all my websites and never cause problems. ok. thanks a lot. for your effort!
i deactivated the plug in but still. so is not wp-spam
Try disabling all of your plugins and check again. If the problem persists even after that then the problem is theme related. Otherwise one of the plugin is causing it, enabling them one by one will tell you which.
