• The code has been changed in v5.x and as such it filled our servers, broke the cloud connection to dropbox, and the resulting local backups over-ran our local storage causing our sites/services to stop.

It has been wonderful in v4.x but this non-seamless transition experience was painful 🙁

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing this — we completely understand how disruptive this experience must have been, especially after a stable run with version 4.x.

We’ve made several improvements since the initial 5.0 release, and as of version 5.2, many of the critical issues around storage, Dropbox integration, and job handling have been addressed. We’re also working on bringing back more of the control users appreciated in the past, including better handling of storage destinations and combined job configurations.

We truly value your long-time support and feedback — it’s what helps guide our ongoing work to make BackWPup better.
