Disabling checkbox

Hi,
I’ve set up the plugin and the email I want to send out to customers. All is set now, but when the emails are sent out the nothing happens. No emails are send out, also the ”Send” emails tab in the plugin is completely empty.
I did a test by ordering a product myself and going to reminders and send the review email right away. After I clicked on that nothing happened. No email in my inbox and also no email in the ”Send” tab in the plugin.
I did notice that the ”Enable automatic review reminders” was switched off after I send that review email to myself. Could it have to do with that I have to tick the box which says ”Customer consent”?
If I tick this box a consent box appears on the checkout page, and I don’t want that. I’ve already wrote in my terms & conditions that they agree to receive a review email after purchasing a product. They have to check that box to make a purchase.
Do you know what might be causing this problem? Is it that extra consent box? And is it possible to switch that off but still send out emails to customers?
FYI: I enabled the ”Self hosted” option.
