Disabling geoip update cron

    Our site is in a secure environment on a server which doesn’t allow outgoing connections, and so we have a recurring error with the cron task that attempts to update the geoip database. Since we don’t need these feature, is there a way to disable this task please?

    Hello @marcusjpickering , my apologies for not replying sooner, I had not received any notifications from ww.wp.xz.cn.

    Currently there isn’t a way to disable this in Matomo for WordPress. It is certainly an oversight so we’ll add this missing functionality in the next version.

    @marcusjpickering this will be in a release that should come out in a few days. You will need to disable internet features in Matomo by adding:

    [General]
    enable_internet_features = 0

    to the /path/to/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/matomo/config/config.ini.php file.
