Disabling gravatar sitewide

    Using the plugin, is it possible to disable gravatar sitewide? That is,

    • prevent users from selecting Gravatar on the Users → Your Profile page, and
    • block wordpress from sending any requests to gravatar.com.

    If not, any advice you have on site mods to disable gravatar in this way is welcome…

    Hi hdfssk,

    No, the aim of the plugin is to provide an option to choose between Gravatar or a self-hosted avatar (not to remove it). I’ll consider this as a feature request.

    You may want to try out the WP User Avatar plugin. It has a feature to disable Gravatar.
