Disabling user search doesn’t work

    I have the following settings (image 1)

    As you see, search is disabled.

    But a user still can search all members by typing something into the TO field (image 2)

    How can I fix it?
    I am using it with buddypress and I want users only use the bp search which is limited and doesn’t show all users.

    Hi there!

    Disabling user search is exactly disabling the search of user, if you enter direct match it will show the user, but this is not the search.

    If you want to disable that also, you probably do not need the new conversation page as it becomes useless and you can disable it in plugin settings.
