Please make child theme first. Now create home-portfolio.php in child theme directory.
Now copy code from LINK and paste in home-portfolio.php
Save the change.

Hi, thanks, but that code didn’t work. Now when I mouse over I just get a faded picture. I would like to keep it like it was before where you can mouse over the picture and the little link icon shows up and you can click the picture to be taken to the url. I would like the zoom icon and the function of enlarging the photo when you mouse over removed however…hope that makes sense! Thank you!
hold on wait, I had changed something else prior I need to change back and then see if it will fix it first…sorry
Yes! That code did work after all. I now have the link icon, but no longer have the zoom icon. I had to remove some custom css code that was hiding both icons I had used from a previous post. Here is a link in case anyone wants to hide both the link and zoom icon:
