Discount not working

Hi
I believe I followed the instructions pretty well but when I sign into my shop as the intended test customer, I do not get the discount applied to my items. I selected the option to have it automatically applied. I added the product, category and applicable role in the settings and selected that product to purchase. It is my understanding that when a person with this role signs in, the coupon will be automatically applied. I cant figure out what the problem is.
