• Hi, I am having a problem that I have never encountered before. I have installed WP on over 100 sites, all using one click installers.

I have recently signed up for another hosting plan that uses cPanel and Softaculous one click for WP installs. The install goes just as usual but after the install I go into the settings, Discussion section and try to change the “Before a comment appears” to “Comment must be manually approved” and then when I go to save that setting I am sent to my site’s main page. I have never had that happen to me before. I have tried to uninstall WP and then install it again and every time it won’t let me change that setting. Everything else works perfect.

Is there a way to fix that?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

do you think this issue is related to the hosting plan you are using for this new website? by your initial comment, i am not sure if you feel like there might be a difference with this hosting company that you might be using for the first time.

are you reinstalling each time using quick install/softaculous or reinstalling “manually”

have you checked in with the hosting company to ask if there are any known issues with the one-click installer.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I don’t think it has to do with the hosting. I am just not sure if it has to do with Softaculous or not. The install works perfectly with that one exception. It just won’t let me change the Discussion settings. The other settings can be changed as usual.

When I am reinstalling, I am just doing the one click install’s. I have never installed it manually myself so I have refrained from trying that since that kind of thing is completely new to me. I know how to one click install and use WP after that.

I checked with the hosting company and they said it is not them. They said I would need to go here to find help for WP since they don’t offer software support.

This thing just has me stumped.
