Hi – yes, in Settings > Discussion Board > User tab, deselect all roles in the Permitted Viewer Roles field to allow anyone to view a topic. Only the roles selected in Permitted Poster Roles are able to add topics.

There is no option under viewer roles for anyone or to deselect all roles…it forces Admin, Author, Editor, or Subscriber…

Sorry I hit CTRL and selected and it deselected the default.

If I don’t choose a user role to view it says I don’t have permissions to view…
Can you get in touch via the contact page on catapultthemes.com? It would be helpful to see your site and ideally have access to the back-end. The demo site at discussionboard.catapultthemes.com is set to allow all users to view content so I’m not sure what is different on your site.
