In Events > Settings > Pages > Event Pages
I have set “Display events as” to Elementor Full Width and I have set “Enable Comments?” to NO
However, my page is still shown with a sidebar and comments are enabled?

can you try option under Events > Settings > Pages > Event Pages > Display events as =Pages ?
